What if the reason why things seem to go by us faster as we age is simply… acceleration? If duration can be considered as a dimension like height, width and depth, then maybe it’s a dimension through which we fall all our lives. In that case, our consciousnesses may begin like a ball at the top of a hill, rolling slowly at first but picking up momentum towards the end until we reach… terminal velocity, and are brought abruptly to a halt.
