Found via Wired, “Facebook, YouTube at Work Make Better Employees: Study” – or, if you prefer, a link directly to the report from the University of Melbourne (via Metafilter), wherein “Dr Brent Coker, from the Department of Management and Marketing, says that workers who engage in ‘Workplace Internet Leisure Browsing’ (WILB) are more productive than those who don’t.”

Although it is important to note the caveat that this is only true of such behavior in moderation, it’s obvious to me that conscientious employees do benefit from having a bit of slack in their workplace.
