Sign: ATM Machine Available Inside
“So I put my PIN number into the ATM machine, before I saw the LCD display that said the machine had a bad NIC card and couldn’t connect…”

If you didn’t notice the multiple repetitions in that sentence, you may have… RAS syndrome. Via Kottke, and new to me (obviously)—though apparently the phrase has been around for quite awhile… see, for example, this engaging Metafilter thread from 2003 with lots of examples.
