The Meaning of Life

I’ve seen and heard the Dalai Lama from fairly close-up, maybe 50 yards or so away, and even at that distance I was struck by his lively presence. So the Dalai Lama who appears in this article on Slate (via Metafilter) rings true to me. The man has an unmistakable moral authority that goes beyond his political position. And it seems that journalist Douglas Preston thought so too.
